Ageing Farmers crisis

Ageing Farmers crisis could cause a shortage of labour in the agricultural sector, risking long term sustainability of food production. The lack of a successful succession plan within a famer’s family also makes this an impending concern.

Research shows that the aging agricultural labour force trend suggests, 58.53% of the agricultural producers will likely exit agricultural production. To cope with the situation of labour shortage, the only potential solution is to opt for selective mechanisation of farm activities. Mechanisation in agriculture is the best strategy to face labour shortages.

IRGA is equipped with mechanised harvesting and data solutions that provide long term sustainable food production.
