We recently attended a special learning and brainstorming lab organised by the Malaysian Esate Owners Assoication(MEOA)on the 25th of October. The lab was intended to provide a space for the discussion of potentials for resolving challenges in the plantation sector with the application of mechanisation technology solutions.
With the theme of'Tranforming Towards a Modern and Mechanised Plantation Industry', we partipated in discussions together with attendees to find ways of supporting plantation owners in ahcieving long term targets such as optimising yield and yield recovery, as well as improving accessiblity to oil palms, particular those of taller heights.
During the exhibition segment of the conference we were able to showcase our electrical, mechanised harvesting cutter, the ECUT ACE, demonstrating to plantation owners how the machine can improve the harvesting efficiency on their operations.
The event gave us a great opportunity to get into serious discussions with plantations owners regarding their most pressing needs in terms of improving the efficiency, productivity and sustaianability of their operations. It allowed us to better assess their ground level needs with regards to areas such as harvesting and evacuation, which will better inform our product development initiatives moving forwards.
