Chairman of IRGA Invited to Speak at UCSI Eminent Person Lecture
The Chairman of IRGA, MR Chandran, has been invited to speak at UCSI as part of its Eminent Person Speaker series on the topic of The Resilience and Sustainability of The Palm Oil Industry.
MR Chandran is a veteran in the agro-commodity industry and has over 60 years of experience working closely in the plantations and agricultural sector. Having served as the Director of Franco-Belgian multinational SOCFIN, and now as acting board on member of IRGA Snd Bhd, the chairman hopes to impart attendees with knowledge for imporving the efficacy and integrity of the palm oil sector.
The speech will cover a wide range of topics including Malaysia’ Economic Outlook, Climate Change and ESG concerns as well as concerted actions which can be taken along the value which leverage on scientific innovation. His speech will also cover the areas of mechanisation and innovation, the image and innovation, the image of palm oil in light of global competitiveness in the vegetable oil industry, and how to best approach the development of a credible certification framework.
